Still running a mid-2009 MacBook. Actually been using Linux with it quite happily, and running totally up to date! Bought this battery a couple of years ago. The capacity is still great and will run for hours. So I would say the cell quality seems great. Much better than a cheap ebay one that I had that started swelling after a year (YIKES!). The only problem I seem to have with it now may be related to the computer, but it also could be the built-in battery management circuit contained in the battery. If I forget about it for long enough for it to go dead in standby, the computer will say that that battery is at 100% while the voltage will show it to be COMPLETELY dead. EVENTUALLY after how many ever days of running on an adapter with zero battery function, the battery will discharge enough naturally to reset it's self and begin to recharge again. It really may be the fact that I have been accidentally allowing it to die in standby, and that may be confusing everything. Other than that strange problem, I have been very happy with this SAFE and long lasting battery!
